Whoever opens the New Testament comes across the words of the living God. Therefore you should read it with devotion and supported by prayers because it is only the Spirit of God who enables us to really understand it.

Slightly modifying a biblical maxim I would like to provide you an advice as follows: "Please be very ready and patient in reading the Bible, but thoughtful and cautious before speaking about it." In my view this is especially meaningful for the New Testament, in which we are confronted on every single page with God's wonders. If, during your reading, you put a stop to it saying: "That is really beyond my comprehension!“ --- then do not throw away the book in anger but go on with a brave spirit! What God is doing and speaking lies frequently outside the framework of our human experience. ­
